Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem didn’t turn out quite like many expected. The Jews saw his arrival as a possible revolutionary leader to help rid the City of David of Roman occupation. He entered to cheers and admiration and left to shouts of death. Jesus didn’t arrive as an insurrectionist to overthrow; He arrived as a redeemer to rescue all mankind.
